Dahlias are the queens of the summer garden—but keeping them thriving year after year requires learning how to properly dig, divide, and store the tubers.

In this hands-on workshop, we’ll dig whole clumps of dahlia tubers from the garden, wash them, practice dividing them into viable tubers, and discuss how to store them through the winter for strong survival rates in our climate.

In this class you’ll learn

• When and how to dig dahlia tubers
• How to clean and prepare tuber clumps
• How to identify and divide viable tubers
• Storage methods that work well in our climate

Participants will receive

• Five clumps of dahlia tubers
• A dahlia dividing guide
• A list of recommended tools and supplies
